Jack Case

Computer engineer, Jack of all trades

I’m Jack, a Computer Engineer who’s looking to branch out from my current software engineering career path and work on something more hands-on.

My ideal job would involve development for consumer products that you can hold in your hand and explain to non-technical people. With that goal in mind I created this site to show off my skills outside of pure software. Listed below are some school and personal projects that I’ve worked on over the years that have really captured my interest and helped me to learn new things beyond what I work on at my day job.

Take a look at my resume and skills, and get in touch via my social links above.

Projects

Virtual Pinball System in Godot Engine

[2023 - Present]

I’m developing a modern virtual pinball system in the open-source Godot game engine, and learning 3D game development as I go.
Open Hardware Programmer's Calculator

[2022]

I designed and built a desktop programmer’s calculator around a Raspberry Pi Zero, a mechanical keyboard matrix, and a character LCD. The enclosure was designed with OpenSCAD for laser cutting, and the software was written in Python calling into patched Linux drivers.
Educational Autonomous Vehicle

[2018 - 2019]

I designed and assembled a custom PCB and wrote C++ software with FreeRTOS for a small autonomous vehicle as part of my senior design project team.
